** Logistics Engineer
** implements and continuously improves all logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
** Additional Info**:
* This position requires the candidate to
** work a 5 day-a-week schedule in the Morton, IL office.**

* What You Will Do:

*** Applying lean manufacturing principles to assist with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions.
* Coordinating with engineering, manufacturing operations, and supply chain functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements.
* Maintaining the internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools;
Assuring their implementation in current and new operations.
* Evaluating logistics processes and workflows, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions for process-related concerns.
** What You Have (Required Skills):**
* ** Planning**:
Tactical, Strategic:
Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
* ** Collaborating**:
Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a     constructive and collaborative manner.
* ** Decision Making and Critical Thinking**:
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
* ** Lean Manufacturing**:
Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
** What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):
*** Bachelor’s degree or higher
* Automation design and implementation experience
* Procurement and capital process experience
* Logistics process design and improvement experience
