Job SummaryAs an IT Analyst (Technical Infrastructure) within the Logistics Information Services (LIS) – Technology & Compliance Services Group in PSLD, you will design, build, deploy, maintain, and support the Windows/Linux computing, VMware, Hyper‑V, on‑prem and Azure cloud solutions across PSLD facilities. You will also collaborate with the enterprise network team and may travel domestically up to 15% of the time, with occasional off‑shift and weekend implementations.
Responsibilities- Maintain the infrastructure of IT systems that support business operations efficiently.
- Design solutions by aligning current systems with best practices and complying with federal policies.
- Administrate middleware application servers and automated workflow tools; work with server virtualization technologies.
- Diagnose complex infrastructure issues, ensuring optimal system performance and capacity.
- Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server and Linux (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) environments.
- Work with virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper‑V.
- Leverage Azure for cloud solutions.
- Automate server and storage management tasks with scripting languages such as Python or Power Shell.
- Support NAS systems, including Net App and Dell.
- Understand security compliance standards, power and cooling systems, and physical server setup and maintenance.
- Manage updates, upgrades, and maintenance tasks to improve network efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and security.
- Technical excellence: deep knowledge of technology and application methods; ability to deliver solutions to complex challenges.
- Technology advising: ability to provide valued advice to clients regarding products, technologies, services, and solutions.
- Hardware infrastructure: knowledge of computer architecture and systems programming; ability to design, build, and integrate IT hardware.
- Requirements analysis: proficiency in requirement analysis tools and techniques to elicit, analyze, and record business functionality and non‑functionality.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux based systems.
- Expertise in virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, etc.).
- Strong teamwork, communication, and customer‑service skills.
- Experience with Cisco and Net App hardware.
- Linux certifications.
- 8+ years of professional experience.
