Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

The Maintenance Technician is a full-time position responsible for maintaining fleet and manufacturing assets to high standards. The technician will apply technical knowledge to support operations in safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and fleet equipment efficiently and cost-effectively, adhering to manufacturer and industry standards and SOPs.
- Minimize downtime by managing inventory and communicating maintenance needs clearly to management and staff.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, complete paperwork, and keep records.
- Promote a safe workplace by following safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years of experience as a mechanic or in industrial maintenance; or an associate degree in Diesel Mechanics or Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Technology.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
- Willingness to obtain necessary maintenance certifications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong communication skills and follow-through.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Active listening skills.
