Job Skills

Flex Security Officers will be hired at a client site in Morton, IL to work as needed/on-call. This position offers a pay rate of $17.50/hr, paid weekly.

Roles and duties may include:

  • Provide security services as a Flex Officer to support ongoing operations by working shifts that become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes.
  • Be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need; shifts may not be permanent.
  • Follow post orders and standard operating procedures and act quickly and efficiently according to directives.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service role.
  • Security, military, and/or law enforcement experience is preferred.
  • Valid PERC Card preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to drive and have a valid driver s license.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in clear and concise written form.
  • Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • Must be available to work weekends, weekdays, holidays, mornings, nights, and in all weather conditions.
Flex Officer Details

A Security Officer may perform duties as specified by Post Orders and SOP. The Security Officer must read and become knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and act quickly according to directives.

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position supports operational and financial success by working shifts opened due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, etc., enabling uninterrupted service to customers while protecting employee health and work-life balance.

Scheduling & Availability
  • You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need.
  • Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week) will vary based on operational need.
  • You will be assigned to, or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
  • Some shifts may be scheduled in advance; others may be scheduled on short notice.
  • You are expected to work any shift scheduled within your described availability; if you know you will be unavailable, inform your supervisor.

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. If you refuse more than 20% of shifts, this could negatively impact employment status.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent
