Position Summary
The Physics Department at the University of Idaho is seeking a new tenure‑track faculty member at the assistant professor level. Candidates will establish strong research programs in experimental, theoretical, or computational physics that complement or build on existing department strengths. While all physics areas are considered, experimental focus is especially encouraged. The new faculty member will mentor undergraduate and graduate students and contribute to the College of Science’s diverse research portfolio.

- Record of research activity in physics, demonstrated by peer‑reviewed publications.

- Productive post‑doctoral or equivalent experience.
- Potential to acquire external funding, as evidenced by submitted and/or funded proposals.
- Ability to teach University of Idaho undergraduate and graduate physics courses.
- Teaching experience beyond conventional teaching assistantship duties.
