• Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements.
• Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security.
• Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment, including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
• Assists with stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
• Under the direction of the pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
• Performs general clerical duties for the department.

• Required Licenses:
  Idaho Pharmacy Technician license (Current Pharmacy Technician in the State of Idaho).
• Minimum
  
  Work Experience:
  
  Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• Required Skills:
  
  Computer skills and adequate typing speed preferred.

• Population Served:
  Neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
• Physical Demands:
  Lifting up to 25 lbs from floor to waist, up to 12 lbs overhead (2x hr. up to 8x/day); standing up to 60 minutes at a time, up to 8 hours per day; sitting up to 60 minutes at a time, up to 8 hours per day; frequent fine motor skills for medication preparation, syringe manipulation, typing, writing, and computer use;
  
  frequent talking, hearing, and visual tasks.
• Environmental Conditions:
  
  Location inside; occasional exposure to wet/humidity, noise from printers/phones; occasional exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals with chemotherapeutic medications; minimal exposure to biohazardous materials.
