- Assist with troubleshooting HVAC systems
- Test systems for proper operation
- Diagnose problems and malfunctions
- Maintain, repair and replace parts and equipment

- Three years working with HVAC systems, including air handlers, pumps and associated mechanical equipment OR possess a current State of Idaho HVAC Journeyman’s license.

- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university‑owned vehicles.
- Ability to respond to emergency calls within one hour and serve on weekend call‑out duty on a regular rotation.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in the following areas:
- Maintaining and repairing air handler units, fan coil units, fume hoods and unit heaters.
- Installing commercial air‑handling equipment and associated ductwork.
- Maintaining pumps, valves, air compressors and electric motors.
- Using and maintaining tools and equipment normally associated with HVAC mechanical repair and service.
Must be able to:
- Bend, stoop and work in awkward positions for several hours at a time.
- Climb and work from ladders, scaffolding and scissor lifts.
