The position ensures proper operation of HVAC mechanical systems. This is an essential position that will be called upon in ოჯახ emergency and/or university closure.

• Respond to service calls
• Assist with troubleshooting HVAC systems
• Test systems for proper operation
• Diagnose problems and malfunctions
• Maintain, repair and replace parts and equipment

Position Qualifications

• Three years working with HVAC systems, including air handlers, pumps and associated mechanical equipment OR possess a current State of Idaho HVAC Journeyman’s license.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to meet policy requirements for driving university‑owned vehicles.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls within one hour and serve on weekend call‑out duty on a regular rotation.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Additional Preferred

• Experience in the following areas:
  • Maintaining and repairing air handler units, fan coil units, fume hoods and unit heaters.
  • Installing commercial air‑handling equipment and associated ductwork.
  • Maintaining pumps, valves, air compressors and electric motors.
  • Using and maintaining tools and equipment normally associated with HVAC mechanical repair and service.

Must be able to:

• Bend, stoop and work in awkward positions for several hours at a time.
• Climb and work from ladders, scaffolding and scissor lifts.
