The LCA Parent Engagement Coordinator/Case Manager is a full‑time position for Latino/a immigrant families. The Coordinator supports ongoing communication to remove barriers and promote school engagement, retain families, design parent programs, and outreach outside the district to grow enrollment and support student success.

It involves developing, implementing, and overseeing programs to increase parent involvement, fostering positive relationships between parents, schools, and the community, and managing logistics of district events, home visits, and the Parent Advisory Council. The role requires expertise in social justice, equity, and inclusion.

Primary

Job Duties
  • Design and execute parent engagement programs and activities to support student educational development.
  • Coordinate workshops, meetings, and events that provide parents resources and information.
  • Assist parents to navigate the school system, understand policies, and access services.
  • Advocate for parent involvement in school decision‑making, encouraging participation in committees and councils.
  • Provide training and professional development to parents for family engagement.
  • Organize and lead parent education sessions on child development, academic support, and parenting strategies.
  • Track and evaluate program effectiveness and use feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain records of parent participation and prepare reports.
  • Serve as primary contact for parents, addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to provide additional resources.
  • Foster strong relationships among parents, teachers, and administrators for a supportive campus.
  • Promote and communicate language access services; provide training on these services.
  • Strategize plans to help parents engage with the district and achieve student success.
  • Facilitate Parent Leadership Meetings at LCA offices or schools.
  • Attend school meetings, outreach events, and professional meetings.
  • Build relationships with community groups, faith‑based partners, non‑profits, and potential partners to promote school information.
  • Complete required reporting via CRM daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with supervisors and represent LCA at district, city, county, and state meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in education, community outreach, or related field focused on parent engagement or family services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective with diverse families and communities.
  • Organizational and project‑management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Background in behavioral health and case management a plus.
  • Moderate to advanced technical proficiency; experience with Zoom, Google Classroom, Gmail, and case‑management software preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Passion for and excellence with parents and students.
  • Positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Belief in the power of mentorship.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish & English).
  • Available Monday through Friday, some evenings or weekends.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and alignment.
  • Ability to write lesson plans tailored to diverse needs of students and parents.
  • Teaching experience in a classroom setting.

    Familiarity with educational software (Canva, Kahoot, etc.) and computers.
Education and Experience
  • BA/BS in social services or behavioral health preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a school or district setting with English Learners or within an agency supporting immigrant/English‑as‑a‑Second‑Language populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly orally and in‑writing with parents and families about school‑related matters directly or via language services.
