Advanced Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team . This role will focus on the design, programming, and optimization of advanced process control systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability in manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with DCS/PLC systems, industrial automation, and process control design within a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and review P&IDs, process descriptions, and automation documentation.
- Create and maintain control system deliverables including:
- Instrument indexes and specification sheets
- Cause and effect/interlock matrices
- I/O mapping and control narratives
- Develop process control design packages following engineering and industry standards.
- Design and program DCS/PLC control systems and implement system configurations.
- Define and coordinate the physical installation of instruments, control valves, and I/O cabinets.
- Troubleshoot and maintain Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and related controls.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define automation needs and solutions.
- Work with IT and engineering teams on OT network design and installation.
- Analyze and interpret historical process and alarm data for troubleshooting and optimization.
- Perform PID loop tuning using manual or software‑based methods.
- Support startup, commissioning, and validation of automated systems.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality standards.
- Maintain adherence to the company’s Code of Conduct and ISO quality system.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in control systems design and programming.
- Proficiency with DCS/PLC systems, motor control, and variable frequency drives.
- Experience with communication protocols:
Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, Fieldbus, Device Net. - Strong knowledge of MS Office and control software tools.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Delta
V and Allen Bradley DCS/PLC platforms.
- Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
