This position is responsible for overseeing and leading the Raw Receiving team in meeting shift goals for the delivery of raw product. Key duties include unloading trucks, monitoring inventory levels, operating sizing equipment, blending raw product, and documenting records to meet customer expectations. The incumbent must fully understand the purpose and operation of the Raw Receiving area and make decisions based on sound judgment when needed.

• Ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of moving equipment and other potential safety hazards in a production plant.
• Demonstrates initiative, creativity, self-motivation, leadership and coaching skills while maintaining awareness of current operating conditions to constructively drive action.
• Maintains necessary communication with the appropriate personnel.
• Becomes qualified within 45 working days of employment.
• Applies knowledge of Raw Receiving team functions, product specifications, and customer expectations.
• Uses computer and programs to communicate, document, and track shift information, ensuring all documents and reports are completed accurately and timely.
• Participates in training activities suitable for the position and integrates acquired skills and knowledge.
• Assists in training other personnel as needed.
• Maintains company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation, and GMPs.
• Follows safety rules and regulations to avoid injury to self and others.
• Enforces proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures for all packaging equipment and systems.
• Complies with Company policies, plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Communicates effectively with team members and support groups in a participative management style that supports operational goals.
• Handles additional accountabilities required by management to meet operational standards.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

1+ years related experience and/or training

• One year of food processing experience or a relevant college degree.
• Successful completion of the Potato Division Assessment Center and Training/Orientation Program.
• Must be able to perform the duties as outlined in the Essential Functions.
