DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP night shift position requiring active WA or compact RN licensure and specialty certifications including AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
Details- LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit within Family Birthing Unit
- 13-week contract on night shift
- Up to 24 hours of facility call-off available at no cost during the assignment
- May cancel up to two shifts per month or up to six shifts within the 13-week assignment
- Active WA state or compact RN license required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BLS (Healthcare Provider level, AHA or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire
- AAP NRP Advanced certification required prior to end of orientation, renewed every 2 years
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire, renewed every 2 years
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring) required within 3 months of completing L&D training, renewed every 2 years
- One year of RN experience in specialty nursing departments preferred
- RN-C in specialty preferred
- Functions as both caregiver and care manager, directing and coordinating care delivered by other staff
- May be required to function as Charge Nurse, including delegation, admits/discharges/transfers, and staff coordination
- Provides patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation across the age continuum
- Documents patient care via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy
- Works closely with physicians and other clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Reports to Nursing Department Director, House Supervisor, and Charge Nurse

The $2,974 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
