Position: VIP Interiors Mechanic III Moses Lake, Washington, United States

VIP Interior Mechanic3 works under minimal supervision to safely perform removals, installations and fabrication of VIP aircraft interiors. This senior‑level mechanic leads by example, oversees less‑experienced technicians, and ensures that all work meets company and regulatory standards for quality, safety and craftsmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and co‑sign for uncertified mechanics in accordance with company procedures.
  • Facilitate on‑the‑job training to provide learning opportunities through work assignments and mentoring.
  • Assist leads with planning, production, and quality assurance of assigned projects.
  • Gather information to submit to Engineering as needed.
  • Manufacture and fabricate monuments and interior components from raw materials including wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneers.
  • Fabricate, trim, and install interior components such as galleys, bulkheads, doors, side ledges, game, and conference tables.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment manuals and work orders to perform duties.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs to inspect incoming cabinetry and interior components, removals, inventory, and protection.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co‑workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
  • Complete job assignments in a timely manner, including on‑the‑job training forms and required reading.
  • Maintain a clean work area, ensure regular and prompt attendance and conduct effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six years Four to six years recent applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience on VIP aircraft interiors.
  • Applicable Repairman, Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred; or ability to obtain.
  • This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportation's (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. Persons occupying a "safety-sensitive" position will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing. Post-accident, reasonable cause, and return-to-duty tests may also be required based on specific circumstances.
  • US Citizen Required - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally communicate).
  • Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply toward problem solving.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and lead less‑experienced mechanics.
