Position: Commercial Parts Pro  Store 1401

About the Role

Professional-level sales position supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth, partnering with the GM to manage team members and ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Position is full time.

Location:

Ocean Springs, MS – Salary: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain commercial customer relationships.
  • Provide SAS2 selling experience to commercial customers.
  • Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives.
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervisory support for team members.
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of team members.
  • Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are met.
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs.
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns.
  • Maintain commercial credit accounts.
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage.

  • Ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc.
  • Advanced selling skills for commercial customers.
  • Ability to multi‑task and remain organized.
Essential

Job Skills Needed for Success
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.).
  • Strong English communication (Spanish a plus); build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence.
  • Understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
  • Use basic math accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Understand commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization.
  • Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience Required
  • Minimum 3 years of automotive parts experience.
  • Proven sales ability with a history of fulfilling customer transactions.
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and achieving group goals.
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • ASE certification preferred but not required.
Physical Demands

The employee will predominantly walk or stand, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds (occasionally 100 pounds). Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Work is usually inside but occasionally outside under various weather conditions; may involve installing batteries, wiper blades, exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, vibration, and moderate noise levels.

Compensation

Position eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
