LEAD SALES ASSOCIATE – FT – 21+ (MOSS POINT, MS)

• General summary: The Lead Sales Associate helps maintain a clean, well‑organized store with a customer‑first focus. They assist customers, operate the cash drawer, stock merchandise, and perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.
• Duties and essential job functions:
  • Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
  • Operate cash register, scanner, bag merchandise, and process payments.
  • Unpack and stock merchandise, maintain planograms, and build displays.
  • Clean the store, take out trash, dust, mop floors, and prepare sidewalk displays.
  • Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
  • Perform additional duties typically performed by a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in their absence.
• Qualifications – knowledge and skills:
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication.
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices.
  • Ability to read and follow planograms and visual merchandising guides.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
  • Cash register proficiency.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.
  • Ability to drive personal vehicle to deposit money.
• Experience / education: High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related training) preferred.
• Working conditions:
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Handling merchandise, equipment, and chemicals (scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, dollies, rolltainers).
  • Proper lifting up to 40 lbs (occasional up to 55 lbs) and occasional climbing ladders up to 6 ft.
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment; moderate noise; occasional exposure to outside weather.
  • Occasional driving or personal transport for bank deposits or meetings.
