Compensation and Schedule
  • Pay: $28.63 per hour, 50‑60 hour average work week
  • Schedule:

    Monday‑Friday (some weekends and holidays required), start times 2‑3 am or 11‑12 pm (both required)
  • Overtime:
    After 40 hrs. Double‑time on 7th day and on holidays
  • Route Coverage Area: AL, GA, MS, LA, AR, TX, TN
  • Layover:
    Yes, 2‑3 times per month or as required
  • Safety Bonus Pay:
    Potential earnings up to $2,000/yr
  • Per Diem Pay:
    Potential earnings up to $1,000‑$1,500/yr
  • Referral Bonus Pay: $1,000
  • Paid weekly via direct deposit
  • Average of 500 miles per day
  • Airgas operates a modern fleet with driver‑friendly technology (On‑Board Computers, collision avoidance, camera systems)

Job Responsibilities

The Bulk Driver will deliver products to local customers on a scheduled route or intermittently, record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain signatures for receipt, listen to and resolve service inquiries and complaints, engage in loading/unloading procedures, perform pre and post‑trip vehicle inspections, document deficiencies, and ensure safety items are in working order. The driver must maintain a neat, professional appearance and vehicle condition.

  • Safely perform SOPs related to handling Anhydrous
  • Communicate in person with customers regarding any SOPs
  • Maintain load manifests and all vehicle documents; ensure correct completion and balance with counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
  • Read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours; frequent bending required
  • Some overnight stays may be required on a limited basis
Required Qualifications
  • At least 25 years old
  • Class A CDL with at least 2 years CMV experience; experience must be within the last 4 years and tanker/hazmat endorsement required before hire date
  • No preventable accidents in the last 3 years
  • No more than 2 minor tickets in the last 3 years
  • No serious violation ticket (speeding 15+, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years
  • No CDL suspensions in the last 3 years except “Failure to pay child support”
  • No DUI in the last 7 years
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs or more
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Operate in a drug‑free workplace
  • Basic computer experience
