Category Manager - Dairy & Chilled Foods; FMCG

Our client, a leading name in the FMCG sector, is seeking a talented Category Manager to oversee their Dairy & Chilled Foods portfolio. This role is crucial for driving category growth, profitability, and market presence. You will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to execute effective plans. • Develop and implement strategic category plans to drive sales volume, market share, and profitability for Dairy & Chilled Foods.
• Conduct regular analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and challenges.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of products.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute compelling promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure effective execution of category plans at the retail level.
• Monitor category performance against KPIs and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure product assortment and pricing strategies are competitive and aligned with consumer demand.
• Manage inventory levels and minimize waste for perishable goods within the category.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Category Management or Brand Management within the FMCG industry.
• Specific experience with Dairy & Chilled Foods categories is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful category strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and financial information.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office Suite and category management tools.
