About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee significant civil infrastructure projects in Mossel Bay . This is a critical role responsible for the end-to-end management of construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead site operations, coordinate with various stakeholders, and manage project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
The position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and site management principles within the Western Cape region.
- Plan, organize, and direct all construction activities for civil infrastructure projects.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, quality control standards, and environmental compliance on site.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
- Oversee site operations, problem-solving, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on civil infrastructure.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
