Construction Foreman - Civil Works

About the Role

Our client requires a proactive and experienced Construction Foreman to lead teams in executing civil works projects in the Mossel Bay region. You will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, guiding skilled and unskilled labor, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. This role is hands-on and requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of civil construction methods.

You will be instrumental in maintaining site productivity and adherence to quality standards.

• Supervise and coordinate the work of construction crews on site.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, blueprints, and safety regulations.
• Manage the allocation and use of labor, materials, and equipment effectively.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols.
• Monitor work progress and report on completion status to the Project Manager.
• Operate construction equipment as needed and ensure its proper maintenance.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role in civil works.
• Solid understanding of civil construction techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work on various sites around Mossel Bay .
