Senior Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their established practice in Mossel Bay . You will be responsible for developing detailed technical designs and construction documentation for a diverse range of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and materials, playing a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of architectural designs.

Working within a collaborative team, you will contribute significantly to the technical aspects of projects in the beautiful coastal region of the Western Cape , ensuring high standards of quality and execution.

• Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules for building projects using CAD and BIM software .
• Ensure all designs comply with current building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve technical queries during the construction phase.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of construction work.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Diploma or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Significant experience (7+ years) as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other relevant architectural software.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building physics.
• Excellent technical detailing and problem-solving skills.
