Our client, a dynamic architectural firm situated in Mossel Bay , is looking for a skilled BIM Architectural Technician to join their growing technical team. This role is crucial in supporting the design and documentation process through the creation and management of Building Information Models. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and collaborative potential of our design workflows, working closely with architects and other design professionals.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong technical aptitude, and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance architectural delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects along the Garden Route.
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for architectural projects using Revit.
- Generate coordinated construction drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models.
- Ensure adherence to BIM standards and protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and modeling issues.
- Assist in the implementation and adoption of BIM workflows within the practice.
- Conduct clash detection and provide reports on potential conflicts within the model.
- A qualification in Architectural Technology, Draughting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BIM Technician or Architectural Draughtsperson with a strong focus on Revit.
- Proficiency in creating and managing complex Revit models and associated documentation.
- Understanding of architectural design principles and construction documentation.
- Excellent technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in a collaborative modeling environment.
