Solar Panel Installer

Our client is looking for a diligent Solar Panel Installer to join their growing renewable energy team in Mossel Bay . This role involves the physical installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial rooftops. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installations that maximize energy generation for our clients. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, possesses excellent hand-tool skills, and is committed to promoting sustainable energy solutions.

• Install solar panels, mounting hardware, inverters, and associated electrical components according to design plans and electrical codes.
• Perform site assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration for solar arrays.
• Ensure all installations are performed safely, adhering to company safety protocols and OSHA standards.
• Connect solar systems to the electrical grid and perform system testing to ensure proper function.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site and ensure all tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.

• Previous experience in solar panel installation or a related trade such as electrical, roofing, or construction.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring, mounting systems, and safety equipment used in solar installations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
