Structural Engineer

We are seeking a structural technician/technologist engineer to join our growing Western Cape team. This role involves hands‑on design work, condition assessments, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on key structural projects.

Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, including sketches, drawings, and technical reports.

Take responsibility for structural design deliverables in accordance with project requirements.

Conduct site inspections and condition assessments to inform design and construction decisions.

Prepare and maintain project programs in consultation with external stakeholders.

Attend weekly project planning meetings to track progress and coordinate activities.

Participate regularly in external and client meetings, including design, project, and construction meetings.

Identify and communicate resource constraints to the line manager and assist in implementing solutions.

Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable design codes, standards, and specifications.

Contribute to team mentoring initiatives and participate in technical reviews.

Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications: BSc/BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering

Professional Registration(s): ECSA registration (preferred)

Years of Relevant

Experience:

5+ years, preferably in structural engineering

Preferred Project

Experience:

Working knowledge and experience in Excel and MS Office.

Technical Skills / Software

Required:

Prokon, AutoCAD, Revit (advantageous), MS Projects

• Afrikaans proficiency is beneficial for regional client liaison
