About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer with a specialization in Operations Optimization to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay . This hybrid role involves optimizing production lines, supply chain logistics, and overall operational workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. You will be responsible for analyzing complex systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both on-site and remote team members to drive impactful changes within the organization's operational framework.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze end-to-end operational processes, including production, logistics, and inventory management, to identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives for process enhancement, automation, and waste reduction.
- Utilize simulation modeling and data analytics to predict the impact of changes and validate proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with plant managers, engineers, and supervisors to implement and sustain operational improvements.
- Design and standardize workflows and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across the Mossel Bay operations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management on project progress, outcomes, and future recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering , with a focus on operations optimization and process improvement.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, Any Logic) and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid work setting.
