About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Mossel Bay , focusing on the design and development of industrial machinery. This role is essential for creating robust, efficient, and reliable equipment used across various sectors. You will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and detailed design to manufacturing support and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities- Design and engineer robust mechanical systems and components for industrial machinery using CAD software.
- Conduct performance simulations and stress analysis to ensure design integrity and efficiency.
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production and assembly.
- Provide technical support during the fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of machinery.
- Investigate and resolve mechanical issues encountered in the field or during production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, Solid Works) and basic simulation tools.
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems integration.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and fabrication.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
