Project Engineer - Coastal Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Project Engineer to manage and deliver critical coastal infrastructure projects in Mossel Bay . This role requires a blend of technical expertise in civil engineering and strong project management capabilities to oversee the development of ports, harbors, and related marine structures. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of projects that support regional economic development and protect vital coastal assets.

• Manage all phases of coastal infrastructure projects , from planning and design through to construction and handover.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation and risk management.
• Oversee the design and construction of marine structures, breakwaters, and associated facilities.
• Ensure compliance with stringent environmental regulations and safety standards pertinent to coastal developments.
• Coordinate with maritime authorities, environmental consultants, and construction teams.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions to maintain project objectives.

• Degree in Civil Engineering, with a specialization or significant experience in coastal or marine engineering.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management of large-scale civil engineering projects.
• Proven track record in managing coastal or marine construction projects is essential.
• Familiarity with relevant design codes, standards, and environmental legislation for coastal developments.
