About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Mine Surveyor to join their team in Mossel Bay. This essential role involves conducting accurate surveys for exploration, mine planning, and production monitoring, ensuring precise data for development and operations. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining survey control, mapping underground and surface workings, and producing survey reports. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and the use of modern surveying technology in a dynamic mining environment.

• Perform surface and underground surveys for exploration, development, and production.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks using total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.
• Prepare accurate mine plans, sections, and contour maps.
• Monitor and record the progress of mining operations against planned excavations.
• Ensure compliance with all surveying regulations and company standards.
• Conduct volumetric calculations for reserves and production quantities.

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor, preferably in mining.
• Proficiency with modern surveying instruments and software (e.g., Leica, Trimble, AutoCAD, Surpac).
• Knowledge of South African mining surveying regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and processing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a broader mine technical services team.
