Industrial Engineer - Process Design

Our client is seeking a talented Industrial Engineer specializing in Process Design to join their team in Mossel Bay . This role is essential for designing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes and systems. You will focus on creating more efficient, cost-effective, and safer production methods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, simulation tools, and a passion for continuous improvement.

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment layouts to enhance efficiency and throughput.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes and new technologies.
• Develop detailed process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Utilize simulation software to model and test process designs before implementation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process design and optimization.
• Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and simulation software (e.g., Arena, Any Logic).
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems.
