Structural Engineer - Construction

Our client is looking for a qualified and innovative Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This hybrid role involves designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structural components for a variety of building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to translate design concepts into viable structural solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering robust and cost-effective structural designs that meet all relevant codes and standards.

• Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and other construction projects using industry-standard software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations for approval and construction.
• Conduct site investigations and inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance during construction.
• Collaborate with architects and other consultants to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
• Review contractor submittals and respond to requests for information during the construction phase.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional registration as a Pr. Eng or similar with ECSA.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering design for construction projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, Revit Structure).
• Strong understanding of materials science, construction methods, and building codes.
