Junior Chemical Engineer - Process Design

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Chemical Engineer to join their process design team in Mossel Bay . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, contributing to the design and development of new chemical processes and facilities. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, gaining valuable experience in process simulation, P&t, and equipment specification.

• Assist senior engineers in the design and development of chemical process systems.
• Perform basic process calculations, including mass and energy balances.
• Create and update Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using CAD software.
• Support the specification and selection of process equipment.
• Participate in safety reviews and assist in documenting process hazards.
• Compile data for process studies and technical reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of fundamental chemical engineering principles.
• Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
