Senior Production Chemist

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Production Chemist to join their operational team in Mossel Bay . This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and safe chemical processes involved in oil and gas production and refining. You will be responsible for troubleshooting chemical-related issues, optimizing chemical treatments, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. • Develop, implement, and monitor chemical treatment programs for production and refining processes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex chemical-related production problems to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations related to chemical usage and handling.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production or process chemistry role within the oil and gas or chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment, corrosion inhibition, and scale prevention techniques.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a thorough understanding of chemical principles.
