Senior Project Manager - Energy

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with specific expertise in the Energy Sector to lead significant projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This role is critical for managing the development and implementation of energy-related infrastructure and initiatives, ensuring they meet stringent industry standards and business objectives. You will be responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects within the energy sector, such as renewable energy installations or power infrastructure upgrades.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with strategic energy goals.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utility providers, engineering partners, and community representatives.
• Oversee risk assessment and mitigation strategies specific to the energy industry, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor project progress, performance, and financials, providing regular reports and updates to executive leadership.
• Ensure the technical integrity and operational readiness of project deliverables, collaborating closely with engineering and technical teams.

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant discipline) or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of project management experience, with a significant portion focused on the energy sector.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale energy projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of energy industry regulations, technologies, and market dynamics.
• PMP certification or equivalent is highly preferred; knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.
