- Analyze the structural integrity of aircraft components and assemblies using advanced engineering principles and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
- Design and develop new aircraft structures or modifications to existing ones, ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards and performance requirements.
- Conduct stress analysis, fatigue life assessment, and damage tolerance evaluations for critical structural parts.
- Develop and execute test plans for structural components and assemblies, interpreting results and documenting findings.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and oversee structural repairs.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for structural designs and analyses.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience in aircraft structures design, analysis, or testing.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as NASTRAN
