Investment Banker Associate

Our client, a prestigious financial services firm located in Mossel Bay , is seeking a driven and analytical Investment Banker Associate to join their Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-profile transactions, providing critical support in deal execution, financial modeling, and client advisory. You will collaborate closely with senior bankers, engage with clients, and play an integral part in driving successful outcomes for businesses in the Western Cape and beyond.

• Support senior bankers in executing M&A transactions, including due diligence, financial analysis, and deal structuring.
• Develop complex financial models, including LBO models, DCF valuations, and accretion/dilution analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials for client engagements and deal origination.
• Conduct industry research, market analysis, and company valuations to identify investment opportunities and strategic insights.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
• Manage junior team members and ensure the quality and accuracy of analytical outputs.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business field from a top-tier institution; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or transaction advisory services.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of M&A processes, capital markets, and the banking and finance sector .
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced hybrid work environment, demonstrating strong time management and organizational skills.
