Operations Lead - Supply Chain

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Lead with expertise in Supply Chain Management to join their team in Mossel Bay . This role is critical for optimizing the flow of goods and services, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for managing logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships, as well as leading initiatives to enhance supply chain performance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a hybrid work environment.

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain operations, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and overall business objectives.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain operations or logistics management.
• Proven experience in managing inventory, procurement, and transportation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with supply chain management software and systems.
