About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Industrial Engineer to enhance their logistics and distribution operations in Mossel Bay . This role involves optimizing supply chain processes, from inventory management to transportation and warehousing, to improve efficiency and reduce costs. You will work on projects aimed at streamlining operations, implementing new technologies, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
This is an excited opportunity for an engineer with a focus on supply chain to contribute to a critical business function and drive significant improvements within a dynamic industry.
- Analyze and optimize supply chain processes, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
- Design and implement efficient layout and workflows for distribution centers and storage facilities.
- Develop and utilize data analysis tools to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Implement lean principles within the supply chain to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain operations or industrial engineering with a supply chain focus.
- Solid understanding of logistics , warehousing, and transportation management principles.
- Proficiency in supply chain simulation software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
- Experience with inventory management systems and best practices.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
