Process Plant Operator - Mineral Processing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Process Plant Operator to join their mineral processing facility in Mossel Bay . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various plant equipment used in the extraction and refining of minerals. This hands‑on role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of process control, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the smooth operation of a key industrial facility critical to the local economy.

• Operate and monitor plant machinery, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and flotation cells.
• Control process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, and temperatures to ensure optimal production.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on plant equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Collect process samples and perform basic laboratory tests to monitor product quality.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, operating guidelines, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot minor operational issues and report any significant problems to supervisors promptly.

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience as an operator in a processing plant, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
• Basic understanding of mineral processing principles and equipment.
