Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with a focus on manufacturing processes to join their facility in Mossel Bay . This role is essential for optimizing production lines, improving equipment efficiency, and ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing systems. You will be involved in troubleshooting mechanical issues, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with production staff and management to achieve operational excellence.

This is a hands‑on role for an engineer passionate about making a tangible impact on production output and quality in a key coastal industrial region.

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures on production machinery and equipment.
• Design and implement modifications to machinery to improve performance or safety.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mechanical equipment.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical systems and root cause analysis.
• Experience with CAD software for minor design modifications is advantageous.
