About the Role
Our client, a leading name in the FMCG sector, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control Technician to join their team in Mossel Bay. This role is vital in ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards before reaching consumers. You will perform various tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products, documenting results and collaborating with production teams to address any quality deviations.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality control methodologies, and a commitment to upholding the highest product integrity.
- Conduct routine quality control tests and inspections on raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods according to established procedures.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment used for quality testing.
- Accurately record and document all test results, identifying any non-conforming products or processes.
- Collaborate with the production team to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and quality regulations and standards.
- Prepare quality control reports and communicate findings to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- National Diploma or relevant certification in Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or a related science field.
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Technician , preferably in the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with quality control testing methods and laboratory equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
- Basic understanding of HACCP, GMP, and other relevant quality management systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
