Aviation Compliance Specialist

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Aviation Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to all relevant aviation regulations and standards at their Mossel Bay facility. This role is integral to maintaining the company's operational integrity and safety record. You will be responsible for monitoring regulatory changes, developing compliance policies, conducting audits, and providing guidance to operational departments. • Monitor, interpret, and disseminate information regarding evolving aviation regulations and standards (e.g., SACAA, ICAO).
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Prepare compliance reports for regulatory bodies and internal management.
• Provide expert guidance and support to operational departments on compliance matters.
• Manage the company's Safety Management System (SMS) documentation and ensure its effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Law, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aviation regulatory compliance, safety, or quality assurance.
• In-depth knowledge of South African aviation regulations and international aviation standards.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and quality management principles.
• Strong analytical, research, and report‑writing skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
