Senior Biostatistician - Clinical Trials

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Biostatistician to join their vital research and development team in Mossel Bay . This position plays a crucial role in the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trials, ensuring the integrity and validity of research data. You will collaborate closely with clinical investigators, data managers, and regulatory affairs specialists to support drug development and scientific discovery.

• Design statistical analysis plans for clinical trials , ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and research objectives.
• Perform complex statistical analyses using SAS or R, including regression modeling, survival analysis, and longitudinal data analysis.
• Develop and validate statistical programming code for data analysis and reporting.
• Interpret statistical results and provide clear, concise summaries and recommendations to the research team and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submissions, including analysis datasets and statistical reports.
• Mentor junior biostatisticians and contribute to the development of statistical methodologies within the department.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Biostatistics , Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in biostatistics , with a strong focus on clinical trial design and analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS (preferred) or R.
• Solid understanding of ICH guidelines, regulatory requirements, and good clinical practice (GCP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a hybrid team setting in Mossel Bay .
