The Building Company is opening a vacancy in Mossel Bay (Western Cape, South Africa). The position is for a Permanent, Full‑time Cashier available in retail hours including weekends and public holidays. The main purpose of the role is to provide exceptional customer service at the point of sale, maximising selling opportunities and minimising risk to the business. The Cashier performs till procedures efficiently, accurately and courteously to ensure the security of all receipts and the full contents of the till at all times.

• Greeting the customer
• Ringing up purchases and accepting payments
• Issuing accurate receipts
• Balancing the till
• Public relations – upholding and promoting the company values and culture

• Grade 12 education (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in English
• Helpfulness, politeness and customer‑orientated attitude
• Basic computer skills
• Prior retail experience (2–3 years cashier experience is an advantage)
• Knowledge of building material products is an advantage
• Availability to work retail hours, weekends and public holidays
