Merchandiser - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join their FMCG team in Mossel Bay. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our client's products are displayed attractively and effectively in retail stores, maximizing visibility and driving sales. You will work closely with store managers and sales teams to implement planograms, manage stock levels on shelves, and ensure product availability.

This position requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to upholding brand standards within the retail environment of the Western Cape.

• Implement and maintain product displays according to established planograms and brand guidelines in retail outlets across Mossel Bay.
• Ensure optimal stock levels on shelves, reporting any stockouts or overstock situations to the relevant managers.
• Monitor product freshness and expiry dates, removing any expired or damaged goods.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel and sales representatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve product placement and presentation to increase sales.

• Previous experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar retail support role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of merchandising principles and visual presentation standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to cover multiple store locations.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel within the Mossel Bay area.
