Senior Mobile Application Developer; iOS​/Android

Our client, a leading innovator in the mobile technology space, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, ZA . • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality native iOS and Android applications.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and other engineers to translate requirements into functional mobile features.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Swift/Objective-C for iOS and Kotlin/Java for Android.
• Implement and integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and user experience.
• Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Stay current with the latest mobile development trends, tools, and technologies.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to app store guidelines and best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in native mobile application development.
• Proven experience developing applications for both iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java).
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Experience with mobile development frameworks and tools (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile data persistence.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
