About the Role
Our client, a fast-growing e-commerce platform, is seeking a talented and versatile Full Stack Developer to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This role involves developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of their web applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. You will be instrumental in building new features, optimizing existing code, and contributing to the overall architecture of their digital products.
This is an on-site position, requiring your presence at our offices in Mossel Bay to foster close collaboration with product managers and other developers. We are looking for an individual with a passion for clean code, modern web technologies, and delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Develop user-facing features using React.js and associated libraries.
- Build robust and scalable back-end services using Node.js and Express.js.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Integrate with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with designers to implement intuitive user interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technology choices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
3. - Expertise in front-end frameworks, particularly React.js.
- Solid experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or No
SQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). - Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
