About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Operations Manager to lead their extensive fleet operations in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This pivotal role demands strategic oversight of all fleet-related activities, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, compliance, and driver management. You will be instrumental in optimizing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and service delivery across the fleet.

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance fleet performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and inspection schedule for all vehicles in the fleet.
• Manage driver recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and compliance with regulations.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant transportation laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and manage fleet management software for tracking, reporting, and analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments to align fleet operations with overall business objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Significant experience in fleet management and operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and cost control strategies.
• Strong understanding of South African transport legislation and safety protocols.
