Inventory Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Inventory Controller to manage stock levels and ensure accuracy within their warehouse operations in Mossel Bay, Western Cape . This role is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels, minimizing stockouts and overstock situations, and implementing efficient inventory management systems. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of inventory control principles and practices in a warehousing context.

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and system updates.
• Monitor stock levels and proactively identify and address discrepancies or potential issues.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent loss, damage, or spoilage.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
• Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting stock status, turnover rates, and potential risks.
• Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

• Proven experience as an Inventory Controller , Stock Controller, or in a similar inventory management role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, stocktaking , and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and standard office applications (e.g., Excel).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
