As an Electro-Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle from concept and design through to installation, commissioning and ongoing engineering support.
The Role The successful Electro-Mechanical Project Engineer will support the design, development and delivery of bespoke automation equipment and engineered systems used across international manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on and technically diverse role, combining project engineering, mechanical and electrical design, system integration and customer-facing project coordination. Responsibilities will include:
Managing engineering projects through the full lifecycle Producing technical proposals, specifications and engineering documentation Supporting budgeting, scheduling and project delivery activities Coordinating engineering deliverables and technical submissions Mechanical and electrical design development Creating BOMs, wiring diagrams and control panel layouts Conducting equipment testing and performance validation Supporting machine builds, panel wiring and system integration Working with robotics, sensors, feeders and automation equipment Supporting on-site installation and commissioning activities Providing ongoing technical support for deployed equipment globally Travelling internationally to customer and manufacturing sites as required
What Were Looking For We are interested in engineers with a strong electro-mechanical background and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. Suitable candidates are likely to have:
Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Previous experience within project engineering, automation or special purpose machinery environments Strong understanding of electrical systems and components Experience producing electrical schematics and wiring layouts Strong CAD capability, ideally using Solid Works
Experience with in manufacturing or industrial engineering environments Good understanding of machine integration and automation systems Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple engineering activities simultaneously Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and project management tools
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
