About the Role
Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint Commissioning Engineers with a Mechanical and/or Electrical bias to support our growing Data Centers. We are committed to provide cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Center facilities and are recruiting Commissioning Engineers to join our innovative team initially based in Motherwell, Newport or High Wycombe. The roles will be responsible for ensuring effective test and commissioning of Data Center processes within set timescales, including quality and health & safety management.
Whatyou will deliver
- Requirements Management (able to interrogate Engineering Schedule, Verification & Validation requirements etc).
- Assist the commissioning engineers and managers with the verification and operation of mechanical/electrical plant and equipment. This includes liaising with specialist sub-contractors and Equans package managers to follow the specific commissioning process from Level 1 to Level 5.
- Compiling and preparing of commissioning test documentation.
- Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety requirements.
- Attend site commissioning meetings.
- Provide information for Progress Reports.
- Assist the Internal Trades Manager to prepare an inspection and test plans for each element of the works.

- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work.
- Good writing skills with a focus on the drafting of test procedures and test coverage files.
- Understanding and implementation of project engineering procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Attention to Health and Safety matters.
- Previous experience with internal trades.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations.
- Understanding of UK Health & Safety construction laws.
