We're looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our GXO Direct operation in Motherwell
. In this role, you’ll support the Finance Manager with reporting, analysis and financial processes, helping to ensure accurate and timely information reaches our operational and senior stakeholders.

This is a full time, permanent position
, working Monday to Friday
.

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly operational performance reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity to support financial and operational decision making
  • Work with the Finance Manager to streamline, improve and further develop financial reporting processes, templates and analytical tools
  • Produce variance analysis with clear, insightful commentary, helping operational teams interpret costs, trends and performance drivers
  • Support the wider operation by explaining financial results, identifying risks and opportunities, and assisting with forecasting discussions
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring finance information is well understood and acted upon
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • CIMA or ACCA qualification (or currently studying) is highly desirable
  • Experience working with financial management systems;
    Oracle experience is advantageous
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills with strong analytical capability
  • A proactive, detail driven approach and the ability to work independently
