Our work matters to millions. It’ll matter to you too. Join our Power T&D team as a Supply Chain Manager in Scotland, and you’ll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work. Please note this is a full-time, permanent position based from either Aberdeen or Maxim, and will require frequent travel across Scotland and occasionally parts of England.

You will play a key role in enabling successful work winning and project delivery across Power Transmission & Distribution. Working in a cross-functional environment, the role will lead strategic supply chain engagement, market-facing activity and early supplier involvement to ensure supply chain capability is aligned with bid objectives, client expectations, delivery strategy and commercial targets. Through proactive market engagement and strong supplier relationships, you will ensure supply chain readiness, resilience and mobilisation capability to support successful project outcomes across Scotland.
What you'll be doing
Supply Chain Strategy:
Lead supply chain strategy development for bids and projects, ensuring alignment with win themes, client outcomes, delivery models and commercial targets.

Strategic Supplier Relationship Management:
Develop and lead a Strategic Supplier Relationship Management programme, including strategic work streams and continuous improvement plans.

Supplier Performance Management:
Lead Supplier Performance Management, ensuring key improvement actions are tracked and resolved.

Market Engagement:
Drive early supply chain engagement and market intelligence, assessing capacity, capability, risk exposure and readiness across key sectors and the future pipeline.

Early Contractor Involvement:
Facilitate Early Contractor Involvement with key supply chain partners to optimise design, reduce delivery risk, improve buildability and unlock innovation and value.

Packaging Strategy:
Define packaging strategies and supply chain architecture to support the right market approach, competitive tension and alignment with the project delivery strategy.

Pricing and Solution Development:
Secure robust supply chain input into pricing and solution development, supporting estimators with credible, market-tested assumptions across labour, plant, materials and subcontracting.

Governance and

Risk Management:

Champion supply chain governance, compliance and risk management, ensuring internal standards are met while proactively managing supply chain resilience and performance.

Reporting:
Provide clear reporting on supply chain readiness, risks and opportunities to support Gate Reviews and senior governance.

Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement and market-facing best practice, contributing to lessons learned, knowledge sharing and wider category/supply chain strategy.

Mobilisation Readiness:
Support early partner alignment to enable a smooth transition from bid to delivery.
Who we're looking for
Supply Chain Strategy

Experience:

Experience developing and delivering supply chain strategies within a project, infrastructure, construction, energy or utilities environment.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Strong supplier relationship management experience, including performance improvement and continuous improvement planning.

Governance and Compliance:
Good understanding of procurement governance, sourcing strategy, risk management and supply chain compliance.

Market Engagement:
Ability to engage the market early and build strong relationships with key suppliers and delivery partners.

Stakeholder Management:
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across commercial, operational, technical and bid teams.
